It’s finally here...Farmers’ Market Season!

One-stop shops for locally grown fruit, vegetables and flowers can be found around every corner in Niagara.

These markets are not only prized for providing an abundance of fresh foods and local products... They also offer us an excellent way to become more immersed in our local communities.

Here’s a look at some of our favourite farmers’ markets in the Niagara Region.

The Red Barn Farm Market

There’s not much the Red Barn Farm Market doesn’t carry...

Stocked with a wide variety of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, local honey and maple products, jams and other preservatives, as well as canned goods, this market offers something for everyone!

Most of the local produce sold at the market is grown on-site at the Tigchelaar Berry Farm and what isn’t is sourced from their nearby neighbours.

The market even has a bakery with homemade goodies, like tarts and pies, made from scratch the same day using the most flavourful local fruits available.

Walker’s Country Market

Located along the Niagara Parkway in Niagara-on-the-Lake, this family-owned and operated market has been serving the Niagara Region and tourists alike since the 1930s!

Walker’s Country Market offers an abundance of seasonal fruits including freshly grown sweet cherries, juicy peaches, nectarines and apricots, crunchy apples, and super-sweet plums and table grapes. But that’s not all...

The market also offers a large selection of jams, jellies and preserves, a mouth-watering selection of homemade baked goods and sandwiches, and several gourmet gifts.
