Location:
Something that really sets me apart, is that I am not actually from this area. I was raised and educated in Toronto and lived in the York Region for many years.
And then one summer day something magical happened.
My ongoing awe and love of the Niagara region began several years ago, on a beautiful summer bike ride with my husband.
We were ‘tourists’ visiting from the city f
or the weekend, and we could not get over the beauty of the area; everything from the light, the smells, the peaceful aura of the vineyards and the Niagara River, and the refreshingly friendly feel of a small town. 
So, that very day, we happened upon a pink ‘for sale’ sign and took down the name of the local real estate broker. The journey to move our family to our dream home in our dream location had begun!

 

What I love about Niagara:

Riding my bike along the Niagara River Parkway, walking my dogs on the pathways along the lakeside, and wrapping up any summer day entertaining good friends with an outdoor dinner in my backyard.

Favourite Real Estate Memory:
Flipping my first home with my father in Thornhill, when I was still a teenager.
I had big plans to spend the profits at the mall, but he was quick to point out why that was never going to happen.

 

 

Favourite Music:
This is as challenging as asking a fomer English teacher to name her favourite novel or poem! Each stage of my life has been enriched by different pieces of music. I do have to say that having seen Jesse Cook perfom here in St. Catharines, at the Performng Arts Centre, has been an incredilbe experience. Another nostalgic family favourite would have to be the 1966 Beach Boys song, “God Only Knows”.

 

 

Been a Realtor Since:
I joined McGarr Realty in 2017, however because I grew up in a real estate family, with both of my parents in the business, it feels like I have been doing this all my life.
I distinctly recall my father challenging me to calculate mortgage interest and commission in my head, while we traversed the province meeting his clients, when I was still in elementary school. Luckily for me, my math skills were outstanding.
